I sold my Bike today. it was my little road bike "clipper". I was sad to see it go, but I'm longer a bicycle warrior. I have a car, a little black Jetta "madrugada" The most important thing is that the bike selling has go me half-way to my new Nikon D70. you can reference that at Nikonusa.com. I'm knee deep in what I think is the coolest part of my life as of yet. I'm about to be a profesional photographer. While I was a photographer before, being pro just means getting paid. There is a company in town that employs a small number of freelancers and I get to be among their number. it's just so damn exciting. |
When a ship goes to sea, it either sinks or keeps on sailing. There is no other way.
That’s not my quote, but that means to me that if I don’t get out there I'll never know if I can sink or sail. I think my photography is sea worthy. And maybe with some luck and hard work I can find a photo that will just some ones mind about something. That’s a goal. I want to create photos that make the right person, at the right time, take stock and reflect so that change is made. Oh thats a lofty one.
But here in real time, I'm plotting and saving and trying to find clients that need the kind of photos that I create. It's not easy. You have to know a little about photography before you can know what kind of photos you want. It's really an uphill battle since I don’t have a camera yet. Everything else is in place.
Keep your fingers crossed.
